   gentle jazz, masterful improvisation and intimate fragility

A trio that is on the move between lyrical jazz, musing chamber music and the suggestiveness of film music. Gentle and melancholy, they explore the boundaries of composition and improvisation.

The most striking figure of Kreis is undoubtedly accordionist Stan Maris. His instrument remains a bit exotic within jazz, even though Belgium has a few strong figures with Tuur Florizoone and Philippe Thuriot. He is also the son of Bart Maris, a valuable player on the Belgian jazz scene. It is a great challenge to follow in his footsteps, but he does so in his own right, not only because of his choice of instrument, but also because of his proper style, his passionate technique and his intriguing composition.
