    acoustic, colorful and timeless music from the black sea

The renowned Belgian clarinetist Joachim Badenhorst joins the Amsterdam duo Sanem Kalfa (vocals, electronics) and George Dumitriu (violin, guitar) for the project Black Sea Songs. Together they dive into the rich, traditional music of the Black Sea area. Old Ottoman melodies are given a contemporary interpretation with electronics and open improvisations.

It is precisely through the beautiful playing of Dumitriu and Badenhorst and the magical singing of Kalfa that a musical world reveals itself that makes you yearn for the Black Sea, at least in dreams and thoughts.
