   TO KURT WEILL -
   JAZZWERKSTATT IMPROVISORS SPECIAL COLLECTIVE
directed by WOLFGANG SCHMIDTKE ft. MICHAEL MOORE
(DE/JP/US)
12-piece mainly German band performs an exclusive for Ciadelic an improvisation concert on Kurt Weill songs

The composer Kurt Weill has put together a fascinating musical oeuvre that hovers between mystery and recognisability, between humor and seriousness, between naivety and cynicism. His music lends itself wonderfully to improvisation.

In collaboration with the renowned Berlin label Jazzwerkstatt and its improvisers, and under the direction of orchestra leader Wolfgang Schmidtke, we are proud to present this exceptional performance for the first time.

Michael Moore is an American jazz saxophonist and clarinetist, who has lived in the Netherlands since 1982. He was invited as a soloist for this concert, undoubtedly among other things because of his lyrical qualities.

Ryan Carniaux - trumpet, flugelhorn
Nikolaus Neuser - trumpet

Helga Plankensteiner - baritone saxophone
Jan Klare - bas & alto saxophone
Johannes Fink - cello
