ODIL is een jazz en improvisatie muziek kwartet gevestigd te Brussel. Het is het kind van de pianisten Camille - Alban Spreng en Geoffrey Fiorese, di ehet idee hadden, beïnvloed door bands zonder bas of contrabas, om een project rond een akoestische piano en diverse synthesizers en elektrische piano's te bouwen. « De bas wordt gespeeld door een kleine bas synth en we vermenigvuldigen de harmonische mogelijkheden door het combineren van de keyboards ». Zij worden vergezeld door de Ierse saxofonist Sam Comerford en Paul Berne, vooral opgemerkt in het inmiddels beroemde Uptake Quartet uit Lyon. Hun album « Something » wordt in juni gereleased op het Berlijnse label QFTF.

ODIL is a jazz and improvised music quartet based in Brussels. He's the baby of pianists Camille-Alban Spreng and Geoffrey Fiorese, who, influenced by bands without bass or double bass, have the idea to build a project around a grand acoustic piano and various synthesizers and electromechanical pianos.

They are joined by Tom Bourgeois, french versatile poly-instrumentist and Paul Berne, noticed in the now famous Uptake Quartet from Lyon. Their next album « Something » is released the 1st of June 2016 on the Berliner label QFTF.
