De Beren Gieren zullen op Citadelic en enkele dagen later tijdens het gerenommeerde Moers Festival voor één van de laatste keren hun 'One Mirrors Many' repertoire spelen.

Op één van de eerste Citadelics, toen nog Jazz sur l'Herbe, moest een groep een naam bedenken om te spelen. Zo werd De Beren Gieren voor een eerste keer op een affiche geplaatst. Ze worden nu beschouwd als één van de avontuurlijkste muziekgroepen in de Benelux.

Sinds hun oprichting in 2009 hebben ze geen moment stilgezeten. In 2015 speelden ze op Jazz Middelheim en verscheen ook hun derde trio album One Mirrors Many. Zowel in België als internationaal wordt de CD positief onthaald, Jazzism prees het album zelfs als meest invloedrijke en actuele album van het moment, dus dat belooft.

De Beren Gieren will play their 'One Mirrors Many' repertoire for one of the last time at Citadelic and a few days later during the renowned Moers Festival.

On one of the first Citadelics, then called Jazz sur l'Herbe, a group had to design a name to play. Thus, De Beren Gieren was placed on a poster for the first time. They are now considered to be one of the most adventurous music groups in the Benelux.

Since their inception in 2009, they have not stopped. In 2015 they performed at Jazz Middelheim and also released their third-trio album One Mirrors Many. Both in Belgium and internationally, the CD got great write ups, Jazzism calls the album even as one of the most influential albums of the moment, so that sounds promising, no?
