Tussen de mannelijke singer-songwriters zijn er enkele die je er zo op het gehoor kan uitpikken aangetrokken door de warmte in hun stem. Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, Warren Zevon, Leonard Cohen en Sixto Rodriguez zitten in dat rijtje, maar ook de Gentenaar Bruno Deneckere. Zijn licht raspende stem, een vermenging van honing en cichorei, brengt in alle melodische schoonheid zijn zelfgeschreven lyrische songs tot leven.
Hij was de frontman van de rockgroep The Pink Flowers (1986-1995), een band die tot de zes van Gent wordt gerekend (samen met onder andere Gorky). Na het uiteenvallen van The Pink Flowers speelde hij een tijd samen met o.a. Lieven Tavernier, Derek, ... . Zijn muziek vindt haar oorsprong in country en americana.

Guido Schiffer heeft een staat van dienst als componist en/of uitvoerend muzikant die gaat van variété over musical tot theater- (Blauw vier, KVS, NTG, Arca, Taptoe, De Vieze Gasten, Brecht eisler koor, Tom Lanoye , ....), kinder- en filmmuziek en is ook de leider van wandelorkest Café Marché en de oprichter van de wereldgroep Les Banquets Nomades en Pablo & Co. Maar rocken als de beesten is hem natuurlijk ook niet vreemd.

Vorige encounters bewezen dat Guido niet veel moeite heeft zich in te leven in de wereld van Bruno. Deze twee al op elkaar ingestelde zielen gaan ongetwijfeld weer het beste van zichzelf geven!
